In today's homily, we find the apostles arguing about who is the greatest of Jesus's followers. Deacon Wahlmeier tells us that Jesus begins to teach them that in order to become first, that you have to become last. He wants us to love Him for who He is, not necessarily for what He gives us. We then, can love others, not because of what they can do for us, but what we can do for God.
