On this 1st Sunday of Lent, St. Frances Cabrini Parish welcomes auxiliary bishop Christopher Cooke. Bishop Cooke celebrated our 9:00 AM Mass, shared some personal information, and his reflections on today's readings. In today's Gospel, Jesus allows himself to be tempted, but He resists the temptations. We remember, Jesus was like us in all ways but sin. Bishop Cooke reminds us that there is a remedy for our temptations, and that is fasting. Fasting can lead us to holiness. He further explains how alms giving can be the remedy for our greed.
