Deacon Isaac Wahlmeier's Homily for the 4th Sunday of Lent (Laetare Sunday) - March 30, 2025

St. Frances Cabrini Digital Communications Ministry

In today's homily, Deacon Isaac tells us that today's familiar gospel story of the prodigal's son is a reminder of how eager the Father is, to forgive our sins. Deacon Isaac explains how each of us has a choice, that is, which road will we choose to follow. The road that is easy just gets harder with every step. Sin tastes sweet in the mouth at first, but soon turns sour in the stomach. While choosing a road that aligns with God's plans for us, we find that road becomes easier for us. The main idea in this parable is that God is always ready to welcome us back when we repent and are truly sorry for our sins. No matter how long or how far we are from the Father's love for us, His mercy is infinite for all all of us, His children. Please share this Podcast with someone who will benefit from hearing it.
