In today's homily, Msgr. Magee reflects on the Passion of our Lord, which was read at every Mass. He reminds us that Jesus came to our world to heal and forgive, and yet, there were still those who did not accept his message, and wanted him killed. He makes the point that Pilate and Herod had some hesitation in having Jesus executed, but it was the demands of the crowd that led to Jesus's execution. It is a reminder to us all of the part that we play in Christ's suffering and death. It is our sins that sent Jesus to His cross.
