In today's homily, Msgr. Magee reminds us on this July 4th weekend, that while we do not bow down to an earthly king, we do owe praise and honor to our heavenly king. He beautifully ties in the powerful words found in our Declaration of Independence that "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." He reminds us of the words of John Adams. He said "Our Constitution was made only for a moral, and religious people."
